Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Greek and Vietnamese speakers invited to join PCFA CALD Ambassador Program

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is recruiting speakers nationwide for the Ambassador Program, a volunteer public speaking program. Chinese, Italian, Greek, Arabic and Vietnamese speaking volunteers are needed to give prostate cancer awareness presentations to your communities.

Ambassadors are trained volunteers who present to workplaces and groups on prostate cancer awareness. Speakers undergo a comprehensive training before becoming an Ambassador (All travel ⁄attendance expenses will be covered).

Potential Ambassadors should:

  • Feel comfortable with public speaking, and⁄or have a willingness to learn
  • Feel comfortable speaking in public about sensitive health issues, and ideally come from a health background
  • Be fluent in English and your native language
  • Have enthusiasm for promoting men’s health
  • Conduct presentations with professionalism, excellence, and respect

Commitment required:

  • Attend a training session in Sydney in the latter half of 2015 
  • Be prepared to present at least once a month
