Training course for Asian lifeguards

One very interesting thing about our work is that we get to undertake different projects, many of which are quite unusual.

For example, due to the high number of drownings among non-English-speaking residents and tourists, we have helped the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation to recruit Asian migrants to be trained as lifeguards. We were involved in the recruitment, the initial shortlisting, and the production of a bilingual training manual.

How do you plan to spend the summer holiday? If you intend to participate in a water sport, it's very important to learn how to swim.

A few years ago, MMM helped NSW Sport and Recreation to encourage more Asian people to learn how to be a lifeguard. Check out your nearest public pool facility. Learn to swim or be a lifeguard!
