We've just completed a coding job for a client. It involved our bilingual researchers reading and categorising over 20,000 answers in a web survey in six languages.

According to wikipedia, coding means the transformation of data into a form understandable by computer software. The classification of information is an important step in preparation of data for computer processing with statistical software.

There are some interesting findings from our post-coding work. For this task, our researchers will need to have patience, understanding of the subject matter and a quick decisive mind.
