Bratislava's winter beauty
We Aussies all enjoy our warm December summer, but every so often I think of my travels to Europe.
Finally, in this week's last holiday theme post, I bring you photos of the winter beauty of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. I went there when I was studying German in Vienna. It takes about 2 to 3 hours by train to go from Vienna to Bratislava. We went there on a day trip. I was charmed by its old city, even though it's very cold.

Wonderful Townsville
Christmas is near. What are your holiday plans? Earlier this year, I went to Cairns and Townsville for a holiday, right after Cyclone Yasi hit the area. Several beaches were destroyed, but I still liked Townsville and Magnetic Island a lot. Here are a few photos to whet your appetite.
