Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Greek and Vietnamese speakers invited to join PCFA CALD Ambassador Program

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is recruiting speakers nationwide for the Ambassador Program, a volunteer public speaking program. Chinese, Italian, Greek, Arabic and Vietnamese speaking volunteers are needed to give prostate cancer awareness presentations to your communities.

Ambassadors are trained volunteers who present to workplaces and groups on prostate cancer awareness. Speakers undergo a comprehensive training before becoming an Ambassador (All travel ⁄attendance expenses will be covered).

Potential Ambassadors should:

• Feel comfortable with public speaking, and⁄or have a willingness to learn
• Feel comfortable speaking in public about sensitive health issues, and ideally come from a health background
• Be fluent in English and your native language
• Have enthusiasm for promoting men’s health
• Conduct presentations with professionalism, excellence, and respect

Commitment required:

• Attend a training session in Sydney in the latter half of 2015 
• Be prepared to present at least once a month

• Become a valuable member of the PCFA community 
• Encourage awareness in others of prostate cancer 
• Receive training and support in public speaking, and gain valuable skills in health promotion

Rip Current

Over the weekend, two Indian tourists died in Byron Bay when they were dragged out to sea by a rip current. What a horrible accident! We've done some translation about rip currents before. Here is the information in Arabic:

ملخص عن إرشادات السلامة المتعلقة بالتيارات المائية

إذا كنت تسبح ووجدت نفسك تنجرف بعيداً عن الشاطئ وغير قادر على العودة، فالاحتمال الأرجح هو أن التيار يسحبك. هناك بضعة خطوات مهمة عليك اتباعها.

١. لا تصَب بالذعر.

٢. لا تحاول أن تسبح بعكس التيار.

۳. إذا كنت واثقاً، إسبح باتجاه موازٍ للشاطئ – ويكون ذلك عادة باتجاه الأمواج المتكسرة، والتي يمكنك عندها ركوبها للعودة إلى الشاطئ.

٤. إذا شعرت في أي وقت من الأوقات أنك غير قادر على الوصول إلى الشاطئ – إرفع ذراعك لطلب المساعدة وأنت تعوم وذلك لكي تحتفظ بما تبقى لك من قوة.

٥. إبقَ دائماً هادئاً.

هل تريد أن تعرف عن تسعير الوحدات

تسعير الوحدات يتيح للمستهلك المقارنة السريعة بين قيمة البضائع المتشابهة على اختلاف أحجامها وأنواعها.

ابتداءً من ١ تموز/يوليو ٢٠٠٩ تفرض تنظيمات جديدة على بعض بائعي البقالة عرض سعر الوحدة على ملصقات المتجر وفي الإعلانات التي يظهر فيها سعر المبيع.

سيساعدك هذا الكتيب على معرفة ما إذا كانت التنظيمات الجديدة تنطبق على مصلحتك التجارية، وكيفية إيجاد المزيد من المعلومات حول ما يتوجب عليك فعله.


ماذا يعني تسعير الوحدة؟

تسعير الوحدة يعني عرض سعر نوع ما من البقالة كوحدة قياس عادية إلى جانب سعر مبيعها.

مثلاً، ملصق سعر عبوة حليب سعة ٥٠٠ مللتر يظهر سعر الوحدة أي سعر اللتر الواحد، بالإضافة إلى سعر المبيع.

نظام تسعير الوحدات الجديد مدرج ضمن تنظيمات الممارسات التجارية (قواعد المهن – تسعير الوحدات) لعام ٢٠٠٩، والتي يبدأ العمل بها في ١ تموز/يوليو ٢٠٠٩.

النظام ينطبق على المصالح التجارية (‘البائعين‘) الذين يبيعون البقالة المؤلفة من الأطعمة للمستهلكين.
